about

This is Wojtanek's third off-road CD recorded on the road in the European Union. Many songs were inspired by Amsterdam's quaint bohemian atmosphere, its picturesque canals, crooked rickety-shack houses, mellow coffeeshops, narrow alleyways, houseboats, sailboats, cannabis culture and historic Red-light district.

Bohemian Chill Zone consists of mostly instrumental tracks from the two previous Amsterdam albums, and a few new recordings.

Track Name: Sailboats on the sea
We are like sailboats on a vast sea
cast on a voyage to the other shore.
Headed towards our ports of destiny
over a stormy and peaceful sea.

Some of us on small and leaking boats
and some of us on safe and tall ships.
We're the Capitans and the crew onboard
trying to make it safely to a friendly shore.

We're sailing accross a deep blue ocean
where the weather is not always fine.
A really bad storm could take us away
if Mother Nature's on one of her bad days.

We are like sailboats on a vast sea
cast on a voyage to the other shore.
Headed towards the port of life's destiny
over sometimes a stormy or peaceful sea.
Track Name: Café in A'dam
As the days went by faster and faster,
I decided to ask myself why.

This ain't what I'm waitin' for.
I'm lookin' for a friend,
To take me to a café in A'dam.

And as I was sittin' there,
Near a Cannabis Collage or Museum,
I realized that I was really stoned.

This ain't what I'm waitin' for.
I'm lookin' for a friend,
To take me to a coffeeshop in Amsterdam.

In the redlight district by a canel,
I saw the windows, the guys and the girls.

This ain't what I'm waitin' for.
I'm lookin' for a friend,
To take me to a café in Amsterdam.

This ain't what I'm waitin' for.
I'm lookin' for a friend,
To take me to a café in A'dam.
Track Name: Good day for love
I don't know why?
But I know I'm always happy
when we walk together hand in hand.

Am I the foolish man you want me to be?
Every time I'm with you
I forget what I had to say.

Don't care about the weather
'casue every day is a good day for love.
It's a good day 'cause there's sunshine;
it's a good day 'cause there's rain.

Don't care about the weather
'cause every day is a good day for love.
A good day for love.
A good day for love.
A good day for love.

Don't know why? But I know that I'm always happy
when we walk together hand in hand.

Am I the foolish man you want me to be?
Every time I'm with you
I forget what I had to say.

Don't care about the weather
'cause every day's a good day for love.
A good day for love.
A good day for love.
A good day for love.
It's a good day for love.
A good day for love.
Yes, it's a good day for love.
A good day for love.
Track Name: Lady of Amsterdam
Oh Lady.
Oh sweet Lady.
Oh Lady of Amsterdam.

You walk by gently
through the streets
unnoticed by anyone,
between the merchants
and the mighty men
that posed to be immortalized
in The Night Watch
for prosperity.

Oh Lady.
Oh sweet Lady.
Oh Lady of the Dawn.

Especially in Spring,
Looking out for the well-being
of everyone and everything.

Oh Lady.
Oh sweet Lady.
Oh Lady of Amsterdam.

Unnoticed by anyone,
between the merchants
and the mighty men
that posed to be immortalized
in The Night Watch
for prosperity.

Oh Lady.
Oh sweet Lady.
Oh Lady of Amsterdam.
Track Name: Believe in your self
So, you gotta believe!
You gotta believe in yourself.
Yeh, you gotta believe in yourself.
Yeh, you gotta believe!
You gotta believe in yourself.

Cause if you don't,
Nobody else will.
You've gotta believe in the Self.
Yeh, you gotta believe in in yourself.

Walk down that highway
And be happy to know
That you are the one cosmic entity,
The one in the smallest particle of the universe.
And in the smallest grain of sand on the beach.
Yeh, in the smallest grain of sand on the beach.

You gotta believe in yourself.
Yeh, you gotta believe in your self.
Cause if you won't, nobody else will.
You gotta believe!
You gotta believe in the Self.
You gotta believe in yourself.
So, you won't get lost.
Track Name: Better planet
LYRICS:

So, you're searching
for a better world
on a distant planet.

Sorry my friend,
there's no better place then this.
The search did not turn up
any better results then this.

So you'll keep on searching

So, you're searching
for a better planet to live on.

So, you're searching
for a better place to live
where you could be free.

Free from the garbage you produced,
the consumer goods,
the crap they sold you on TV.

So, we keep an searching
for a better world
where we could be free.

So, we keep on searching...
Track Name: When we were blue
Remember those days, my friend,
when we used to sing the Blues?
And when there was nothing much
that we couldn't do.

In many ways, those days
were the best days I ever had.
I still remember what you once said...
The many ball games on our street...
God, how time flies,
leaves us with faded memories
of happier times.

Wish we could turn back the time
to when we used to sing the Blues.
And had so many reasons to sing the blues.

Things aren't much better now.
But I play and sing alone,
the Chicago Blues far from home.

Track Name: To have a groovy day
I never cared about the future,
never cared about the past.
All I ever wanted was
to have a very groovy day.

I never was good in History,
never was good in Maths.
But I was good in rolling joints
and blowing my allowance with the boys.

I wasn't good in cutting grass,
wasn't good in doing any house chores.
But I was good in Rock-N-Roll
all day and party every night.

Guess that sums me up in short,
the type of guy I am.
And if I had another chance
I'd do the same all over again.

I never was good in History,
never was good in Maths.
But I was good in rolling joints
and blowing my allowance with the boys.

Wasn't good in cutting grass,
wasn't good in doing any house chores.
But I was good in Rock-N-Roll
all day and party every night.

Guess that sums me up in short.
Never cared about the future.
All I ever wanted was
to have a very groovy day.
